Kidderminster Team Competition Sunday 10th April 2011

April 10, 2011

Tough day out for our judo players, we entered 4 teams, each with 3 players . They gave themselves some great names for their teams.

Renrukan — BEES
Keenan
Liam
Ted

Renrukan—-LMR
Leigh
Mathew
Ryan

Renrukan—–RHINOS
Kieran
Charlie
Sam

Renrukan—–LIONESSES
Ella
Skye
Abby

The competition was for players under 16 and each team could not to exceed 100kgs.
All our players showed great courage against all the teams in each of their pools; many of whom were at the top end of their weight allowance and also older.

Although our boys teams did not gain medals on this occasion, they have gained more experience.Well done.

The girls, Renrukan LIONESSES also in the same format, giving away not only age but huge height and weight difference, fought out of their skins. They had to dig deep to win against their opposite players from the other 5 teams in their pool.
But their sheer guts and courage showed through and they took a brilliant SILVER, only missing a gold by 3 points on a count back tally.

WELL DONE! GIRL POWER LIVES ON!

A long day but a great team effort by all ,keep it up.

Thanks to Caroline and Dan great support, and to all parents.

Mark ( coach )
