Micklefield 8 & Under Training Randori

April 25, 2009

groupWell, what a day!  The Renrukan took 8 players to Micklefield for the 8 & under training randori event.

And what a day it turned out to be, taking 3 GOLD, 2 SILVER  3 BRONZE.  On top of all that, we took the spirit of judo award and style of judo award.

As a coach of the Renrukan it makes me rather proud to be in the company of my players that achieve these results.

More rewarding is that 2 of the players were attending their very first competition and their first steps outside the club dojo. Both took GOLD medals. (Ella and Edward)

All 8 players took medals from bronze to gold, from fighting.  There were no participation medals, all on performance, many players did not receive. From a very large turn out from around the county.

RESULTS

Isaac Taylor      (BRONZE)
Alec Jarvis       (BRONZE)
Charlie McIntosh  (BRONZE)

Josh Patel        (SILVER)
Daniel Bartlett   (SILVER)

Edward Biggs      (GOLD)
Patrick Bolton    (GOLD)
Ella Ashwell      (GOLD)

SPIRIT OF JUDO    Josh Patel
STYLE OF JUDO     Daniel Bartlett

Again well done to all.  A fantastic performance.  You guys made me very proud indeed.
Many thanks to parents etc for all the support and Josh’s dad for keeping me in liquid.
Keep it all up.

I’m over the moon with you rabble.
