renrukan Judo Club Championship 2011

London International Open – 4th June 2011

61 Club Junior and Youth competition, High Wycombe, Sunday May 8th 2011

Renrukan entered 3 players for the 61 club junior and youth open at High Wycombe.

Leigh and Ryan both fought in the junior groups of under 16 . Both players put on a fine display of  judo against many higher grades.

Leigh and Ryan gained wins ,and came away with well deserved BRONZE medals.

 

Well done lads.

 

Also fighting was again Daniel Taylor ,fighting in the youth section 16-20 year olds. Again, putting in great effort against higher graded players including a 2nd dan. But for his efforts he came away with a BRONZE medal.

 

Well done Dan T.

 

This Bronze goes along with the BRONZE medal he won the week before at Peterborough in a youth comp.

Renrukan Summer Camp – Mon 8th August to Fri 12th August 2011

Renrukan Summer Camp is the place to be this August.
It is being held at The Mandeville School Aylesbury, from 8th August to the 12th August.
Dropping off time will be 8.45am and picking up will be 4.15pm… and at only £20 a day (£95 for the full week for first child, then £85 for siblings) it is fantastic value. (Works out at £2.86 an hour per day!)

If you would like to take this fantastic offer up, please see either Annabel or Kerry on Tuesdays or Paula on Thursdays….or phone Mark for further details.
A £20 deposit is required by 5th May to secure a place for your child, but then you can pay in installments if you wish to.
We will also be getting camp t-shirts printed for £5 each. If you would like one, please pay when you order your t-shirt.

There are going to be lots of different activities to keep your kids busy during the day – they will range from Judo, to team games, cardio vascular exercise, film to chillax to and bouncy castles …. and it’s open to the siblings of club members too, you don’t have to be a judo expert to enjoy the summer camp!!

Book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Tough day out for our judo players, we entered 4 teams, each with 3 players . They gave themselves some great names for their teams.

The competition was for players under 16 and each team could not to exceed 100kgs.
All our players showed great courage against all the teams in each of their pools; many of whom were at the top end of their weight allowance and also older.

Although our boys teams did not gain medals on this occasion, they have gained more experience.Well done.

The girls, Renrukan LIONESSES also in the same format, giving away not only age but huge height and weight difference,fought out of their skins. They had to dig deep to win against their opposite players from the other 5 teams in their pool.
But their sheer guts and courage showed through and they took a brilliant SILVER, only missing a gold by 3 points on a count back tally.

WELL DONE! GIRL POWER LIVES ON!

A long day but a great team effort by all ,keep it up.

Hatfield Yellow Belt and Under 26th March 2011

Quality judo from 11 players, shows in results.
The improvement of all our players was recognised in the performances given, in every single fight,throughout the day. Well done.
Ted was in outstanding form ,winning all of his fights (pool) with IPPON, and into the final, again with IPPON.
Skye also in great form winning all of her fights ,
Ella showing great consistency winning all of her fights .

Women and Girls Open comp – Kidderminster 5th March 2011

Renrukan had one female entering the girls comp, yellow belt and above and not weighted in groups,a different format than normal.

Ella was placed in a group of max weight 36kg, giving away 12 kgs.

Ella performed with great style and showed quality judo, wining fights on the day.

For her efforts she gained a very creditable BRONZE medal.

In her own weight group it would have been Gold.

 

Well done Ella for a fine display and a fun day.

Micklefield Red Belt Rumble 26th February 2011

Renrukan took 14 players to a red belt rumble competition on saturday 26th Feb at the High Wycombe judo center. A competition designed for new and novice players to enter their way into broadening their judo outlook.

Many of our players entered for their very first time.Great courage in itself. Many gaining again experience in many formats. Winning fights and showing great etiquette.

We also gained medals, which all deserved ,with strong skills and strength from within.
